Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Piping Designer to create efficient, compliant piping systems using AutoCAD Plant 3D. You will collaborate with engineers, draft 3D models, P&IDs, and project deliverables while ensuring designs meet ASTM/ASME codes.

Requirements include 6+ years in construction or 3D modeling, proficiency with CAD tools, and US citizenship for client projects. Strong drafting skills and knowledge of ASME B31.3/B31.4/B31.8 are preferred.

Qualifications

• 6 years of construction or 3D modeling experience.
• Familiarity with ASTM/ASME codes and standards.
• Basic understanding of ASME B31.3, B31.4 and B31.8.
• US Citizenship required for client projects.

Responsibilities

• Draft a 3D model in a CAD software.
• Work with engineers to ensure design soundness.
• Create 3D piping/equipment models for projects.
• Draft P&ID redlines and develop new P&IDs.
• Generate project deliverables (isometrics, piping plans, MTOs).
• Track schedule and budget; manage scope changes.
