Job summary

Amentum seeks a Mechanical Piping Designer with heavy Revit experience to develop 3D piping models using Revit and AutoCAD Plant 3D, and to generate isometrics, piping plans, and P&IDs in collaboration with engineers.

Required are several years of construction or 3D modeling, proficiency with drafting software, knowledge of ASME B31.3/31.4/31.8 and ASTM standards, and the ability to produce project deliverables under supervision. U.S. citizenship is required for client projects.

Qualifications

• 6 years of construction or 3D modeling experience.
• Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD Plant 3D.
• Familiar with ASME B31.3/31.4/31.8 and ASTM standards.
• U.S. citizenship required for client projects.

Responsibilities

• Draft a 3D model in CAD software.
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure design soundness.
• Produce 3D piping and equipment models for projects.
• Draft P&ID redlines and develop new P&IDs.
• Generate isometrics, piping plans, plot plans, and MTOs.
• Understand pipe specs and materials per ASTM/ASME codes.
• Estimate project piping needs under supervision.
• Track schedule and budget during projects.
