Job summary

Merjent, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead pipeline sector projects in the oil and gas industry, coordinating multi-discipline teams and managing client relationships across projects.

The role requires extensive experience with federal and state permitting processes (USACE, FERC, USFWS, SHPO) and strong technical writing and communication skills. Travel domestically is 0–20% and the position supports remote, in-office, or hybrid work arrangements with full-time benefits and bonus

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a natural resource/environmental field required.
• At least 10 years of permitting experience with USACE, FERC, USFWS, SHPO or similar agencies, preferably in pipeline projects.
• At least 5 years in project management or deputy project management preferred.
• Knowledge in environmental law, planning or related technical fields is a plus.
• Excellent oral communication and technical writing; strong organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically 0–20% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Project Manager or Deputy Project Manager for pipeline sector projects.
• Coordinate with Pipeline Sector teams to build and manage project resources.
• Manage budgets, schedules and risks using standard PM processes.
• Maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
• Support leadership development and team staffing planning.
• Review deliverables for quality and alignment with client expectations.
• Participate in proposals and marketing for Pipeline Sector projects.
