Job summary

Stantec seeks an environmental permitting expert to lead pipeline and energy transition projects, coordinating with biology, hydrology, and regulatory specialists. You will manage permit applications, engage with agencies, and develop regulatory documents across the US.

The role emphasizes strong communication, client relations, and HSSE compliance, with opportunities to support multiple projects in the Gulf region. Flexible location within Stantec's Gulf area is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience managing pipeline projects, especially large natural gas or liquids pipelines.
• FERC/NEPA requirements and processes experience.
• FERC-regulated project management experience (7(b)/7(c) etc.).
• Experience developing resource reports for FERC projects.
• Strong written and oral communication, client-focused.”
• Ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
• Knowledge of HSSE policies and client training.
• Project and task management with attention to detail.
• Ability to build networking within technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and project management for oil & gas midstream permitting projects and energy transition projects across the US.
• Manage permit applications and agency coordination for Threatened & Endangered Species, Sections 404/10, CZMA, and Section 106.
• Develop and maintain positive client relationships and support proposals.
• Create and review technical documents supporting regulatory submissions.
• Support and enforce Health, Safety and Environment policies in all work phases.
• Collaborate with Environmental and Regulatory Specialists for consistency in project execution.
• Support multiple Stantec projects and offices nationwide.
