Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus one year pipefitting experience or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Knowledge of pipe craft formulas, materials, and measurements.
• Familiar with SMAW tack welding tests and ABS certification processes.
• Working knowledge of OSHA standards and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Attend regularly and work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends and holidays.
• Comply with safety, ethics and environmental rules and company policies.
• Select pipe types and sizes, fittings and valves as required.
• Assist in installation, testing and operation of high‑pressure steel piping.
• Measure, cut, assemble, tack weld and install pipe assemblies and fittings.
• Assist in testing of installed piping systems and related items.
• Perform duties under general supervision and undertake other tasks as assigned.
