Job summary

Matrix Service Company in Clarksville, AR is seeking a qualified pipefitter to lay out, install, maintain and repair all types of piping systems for maintenance, tank, and new construction. This role requires interpreting drawings, planning procedures, and using bending and threading equipment.

You will inspect high/low-pressure piping and ensure safety compliance on site. Qualified candidates have 4+ years in refinery maintenance or construction, NCCER certification or pipefitter test

Qualifications

• Minimum of four (4) years or more in refinery maintenance/turnaround/or construction experience.
• A general knowledge of basic hand tools.
• Must pass the Pipefitter Skills Test at or above 70% or complete the NCCER certification for your craft.
• Experience with piping systems for air, water, steam, oils, gases, acids, caustics, etc.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings & P&IDs.
• Complete Matrix Safety training, Process Safety Management training and client/site training.
• Must obtain and maintain an active status in the approved drug testing program.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check.
• TWIC card will be required.

Responsibilities

• Lays out, installs, maintains, and repairs piping systems for maintenance, tank and new construction.
• Actively supports safety and Core Values of the company.
• Interprets drawings and prints work assignments and plans procedures.
• Sets up and uses bending, threading, and cutoff equipment and hand tools to shape pipe.
• Tests and inspects high- and low-pressure piping and components for installation and repair.
• Assemblies and tests piping components and prepares joints for welding or special joints.
• Identifies safety hazards and takes corrective action to minimize risks.
• Performs other job-related duties as requested by supervision.
