Job summary

Matrix Service Company is seeking a skilled pipefitter to lay out, install, maintain, and repair piping for refinery maintenance, turnaround, and construction projects in Washington.

The role requires four years of field experience, the ability to read drawings, operate fabrication tools, and pass NCCER or Pipefitter tests. Competitive hourly wage and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years or more in refinery maintenance/turnaround/construction experience.
• A general knowledge of basic hand tools.
• Must pass Pipefitter Skills Test at or above 70% or complete NCCER certification.
• Complete Matrix Service Safety training, Process Safety Management training and Client / Site specific training.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an active status within the drug testing program.

Responsibilities

• Lays out, installs, maintains, and repairs piping systems for maintenance, tank and new construction.
• Interprets drawings and plans detail of working procedure and selects materials per engineering standards.
• Sets up and operates bending, threading and cutoff equipment and fabricates pipe.
• Tests and inspects piping for air, water, steam, oils, gases, acids, caustics, etc.
• Identifies safety hazards and takes corrective action to minimize risks.
• Performs other job-related duties as requested by supervision.
