Job summary

Contractor Service & Fabrication, Inc. in Alabama is seeking a Pipe Welder Level 3 to perform high-precision welding on high-pressure piping, mentoring juniors and driving quality assurance. You will read drawings, P&IDs, and specs, and operate orbital, TIG, and submerged arc welders.

The role requires 3–5 years of pipe welding experience, familiarity with ASME/AWS standards, and strong leadership and safety focus in demanding environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of NCCER Pipe Welding Levels 1, 2, and 3 modules or equivalent.
• Minimum 3–5 years of pipe welding experience in industrial or commercial settings.
• NDT qualification or certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and exotic alloys.
• Interpret complex blueprints, P&IDs, and technical specifications.
• Set up and operate orbital, TIG, and submerged arc welding equipment.
• Conduct and pass visual and non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections.
• Maintain detailed weld logs and documentation.
• Coordinate with engineers and supervisors to resolve design or fabrication issues.
• Provide leadership to junior welders.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
