Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Pipe Stress Engineer to join our team in Bothell, WA or any US office. The role may be remote or hybrid, with opportunities to work with a multi-disciplinary team and clients on power piping and industrial systems.

You will perform pipe stress analyses, model piping systems, and verify nozzle loads using AutoPipe or Caesar II. Required: ABET degree, 15+ years experience, and strong knowledge of piping codes. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• B.S. Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or similar from ABET accredited college.
• PE license preferred.
• 15+ years performing pipe stress analysis.
• 15+ years using AutoPipe or Caesar II.
• Experience with steam systems and high-energy piping.
• Ability to read flow diagrams and P&IDs.
• Experience writing pipe stress reports.
• Familiar with AutoPipe, Caesar II, AutoCAD; SmartPlant 3D/Plant 3D, Navisworks, MathCAD.
• Experience with power plant cycle designs or nuclear plants.

Responsibilities

• Work with multi-discipline team, collaborators, and clients.
• Perform pipe stress analysis per B31.1 and B31.3.
• Model piping systems using stress software to verify flexibility, stability, and nozzle loads.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and vendors.
• Review submittal documents and respond to inquiries.
• Travel to project sites or other offices as needed.
