Job summary

Sargent & Lundy seeks a Pipe & Mechanical Quality Specialist for field assignments in Georgia, USA. You will lead QA/QC activities across field engineering, construction, startup, and warranty phases on heavy industrial power projects.

Ideal candidates have 12+ years in mechanical QA/QC, active CWI certification, and familiarity with ASME codes and boiler/vessel regulations. Travel across the United States is required, with per diem for eligible assignments.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in mechanical quality assurance, operations, and maintenance within the power generation industry.
• Active CWI certification is required.
• Familiarity with industry regulations, codes and standards for power plant construction and safety.
• Willingness to travel across the United States as needed.

Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance Management: review and oversee QA/QC program across all project phases.
• Conduct contractor audits to verify conformity with drawings and specifications.
• Document control: ensure latest revisions are used and records updated.
• Monitor progress, highlight variances, and ensure work aligns with drawings and specs.
• Audit reporting: compile QA/QC metrics for management and stakeholders.
• Pre-planning support to foster a culture of quality from the outset.
