Blythe Construction, Inc. is hiring a Pipe Layer to work on construction projects as part of a pipe crew. The role involves assisting the lead person, reading plans, laying and prepping pipe, and performing drainage pipe installations.

A strong team player with physical stamina is essential for regular eight-hour shifts outdoors. Candidates should have 3–5 years of related experience and a high school diploma or GED. Lifting up to 90 lbs (up to 150 lbs with assistance) is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 3–5 years of industry-related experience on roads, highways, and bridges.
• Must be able to understand work directions and communicate with supervisors and coworkers.
• Physical demands include standing, bending, lifting 50–90 lbs regularly, possibly up to 150 lbs with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead person with setting laser and with installing RCP water and sanitary pipe.
• Read and understand plans and perform pipe prep, mud, and cut operations.
• Perform layout and drainage pipe installation as part of pipe crew.
• Engage in general labor duties and support other crafts as needed.
• Work outdoors in all weather, maintain safety, and operate hand tools.
