Job summary

Branch Builds, Inc. is seeking a Pipe Layer to join our Civil Division to prepare and install underground pipelines for road construction. This role reports to the Pipe Foreman and requires precise pipe laying, alignment, and joining work in outdoor settings.

Candidates typically have 3–5 years in underground pipe laying and 2–4 years in road construction, plus a high school diploma or GED. This full-time position emphasizes teamwork and safety on site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 3 to 5 years of underground pipe laying experience.
• 2 to 4 years of road construction experience preferred.
• Knowledgeable of pipe laying techniques.
• Sense of urgency to meet deadlines.
• Accomplish goals in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Install sanitary and storm water sewer structures and pipe systems.
• Lay out pipe routes, following specifications or blueprints, and coordinate layouts with supervisor.
• Cut pipes to required lengths.
• Align and position pipes to prepare them for welding or sealing.
• Check slopes for conformance to requirements, using levels or lasers.
• Connect pipe pieces and seal joints, using welding equipment, cement or glue.
• Tap and drill holes into pipes to introduce auxiliary lines or devices.
• Cover pipes with earth or other materials.
• Grade and level trench bases, using tamping machines and hand tools.
• Other general labor and construction related duties as required.
• Promote and adhere to the company’s safety program.
