PALA Group, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager for pipe fabrication at the Hammond facility.

The role oversees projects from RFQ review and estimating through fabrication and client delivery, serving as the primary liaison between client and shop to ensure accurate estimates and on-time, quality completion. The candidate will lead the fabrication team, plan activities, manage schedules and costs, and ensure adherence to drawings, specifications, and safety standards while maintaining strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in engineering or related field.
• +5 years in pipe fabrication, industrial construction, mechanical fabrication, or related field.
• Previous project management, estimating, or fabrication supervision experience.
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings, specifications, and project documents.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced shop environment.
• Proficiency with MS Office and project/estimating software.
• Ability to work effectively with both shop personnel and clients.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, schedule, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Review RFQs and project requirements to develop estimates.
• Prepare accurate project estimates including material, labor, fabrication, and other costs.
• Coordinate with management and operations to develop competitive pricing and schedules.
• Lead and oversee the pipe fabrication team at the Hammond facility.
• Plan and coordinate fabrication activities, manpower, materials, and production schedules.
• Serve as the primary client contact following project award and throughout fabrication.
• Communicate project status, schedules, changes, and potential issues to clients and stakeholders.
• Review project requirements to ensure fabrication meets drawings, specs, and quality standards.
• Identify and resolve fabrication, scheduling, material, and scope issues promptly.
• Coordinate with purchasing, engineering, quality, and field personnel to maintain schedules.
• Monitor progress, costs, and schedules from award through completion.
• Support change-order evaluation and pricing when project scope changes.
• Promote a safe, organized, and productive shop environment.
