Job summary

Philadelphia Insurance Companies, a Tokio Marine Group company, is expanding its PIP team with nationwide consideration for a Senior Claims Examiner - PIP. The role analyzes claims to determine insurer obligations, settles with first claimants, and documents investigations to support coverage decisions.

A typical day includes evaluating coverage, setting reserves, communicating with all parties, and traveling for mediations and legal proceedings.

Qualifications

High School Diploma; Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred.
Five plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Three plus years of PIC related experience and an AIC Designation will be considered for employees in good standing with excellent claim audit scores.

Responsibilities

Analyze insurance claims to determine extent of Insurer's obligations.
Settle claims with first claimants in accordance with policy provisions and applicable law.
Evaluate each claim in light of facts; affirm or deny coverage; investigate to establish proper reserves; and settle or deny claims in a fair and expeditious manner.
Travel is required to attend customer service calls, mediations, and other legal proceedings.
