Job summary

Philadelphia Insurance Companies, a Tokio Marine Group member, is expanding our PIP Team with nationwide consideration for a Senior Claims Examiner - PIP. The role analyzes insurance claims to determine the insurer's obligations and settles claims with first claimants in accordance with policy provisions and applicable law.

The position requires five plus years of related experience; a Bachelor's degree is preferred, and the company offers a hybrid work model with remote consideration for

Qualifications

• Five plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Three plus years of PIC related experience and an AIC Designation will be considered for employees in good standing with excellent claim audit scores.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• High School Diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze insurance claims to determine extent of Insurer's obligations.
• Settle claims with first claimants in accordance with policy provisions and applicable law.
• Evaluate each claim in light of facts; affirm or deny coverage; investigates to establish proper reserves; and settles or denies claims in a fair and expeditious manner.
• Communicate with all relevant parties and document communication as well as results of investigation.
• Thoroughly understand coverage, policy terms and conditions for broad insurance areas, products or special contracts.
• Travel is required to attend customer service calls, mediations, and other legal proceedings.
