Job summary

Honeywell UOP is seeking a Senior Advanced PIC Project Engineer (Finance) to lead the technical portion of PIC control system projects from initiation to completion. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, define scope, deliverables, and host FATs with end-users in Des Plaines, IL, on a hybrid schedule.

You will drive project plans, risk management, and quality plans (ISO 9001) while mentoring junior engineers and ensuring on-time, within-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Chemical or Electrical preferred).
• 7+ years of experience in project engineering or related roles.
• Proven track record of delivering complex engineering projects on time and within budget.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Experience in risk management and problem-solving.
• Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
• Technical expertise in the relevant engineering discipline.
• Detailed experience with UOP Process Technologies, specifically PIC Control System product lines.
• Experience with Honeywell C300, Honeywell Safety Manager, Rockwell Allen-Bradley, Siemens S7, Schneider Triconex, Schneider Modicon.
• PLC Networking Architecture understanding.
• CAD/AutoCAD proficiency.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Adaptability and flexibility to manage changing project requirements.
• Passion for innovation and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical portion of PIC control System projects from initiation to completion.
• Define PIC project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Regular communication with PIC end-users including coordination meetings, project status reports and hosting Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs).
• Develop and implement project plans with timelines for deliverables.
• Develop, implement and maintain Quality plans for Control System Testing and Work Process adherence (ISO 9001 Certification).
• Coordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
• Identify and mitigate risks, barriers and issues that may impact project delivery.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship and support to junior project team members.
