Job summary
Honeywell is seeking a leader to head the engineering team responsible for PIC control systems at the Des Plaines, IL location. The role involves development of regulatory and batch control, advanced process control, expert systems, DCS interfaces, and simulators, with a hybrid work schedule after an initial onsite 90-day period.
You will report to the Director, Chemical Engineer and work on ongoing development, support for project engineering and site services, and participation in NPI and AMB
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science.
- 6+ years in control systems software customization, troubleshooting, and site services.
- 2+ years of project or team management experience.
Responsibilities
- Implement standards to improve team productivity and efficiency.
- Plan software and service support assignments for PIC control system lines.
- Coordinate PIC control systems training with UOP teams.
- Lead ISO development activities and CAPA program.
- Support career development of new hires in PIC training.
- Ensure high quality across software and service tasks.
- Coordinate commissioning with PC&I field services leadership.
- Support NPI and AMB opportunities related to control system retrofits.
