Catalyx is seeking a Technical PI Developer to support admin, development, and configuration of a PI System environment in a GMP-regulated setting. This senior role demands hands-on PI experience, equipment integration, and strong problem-solving skills.

The ideal candidate will work across IT, engineering, laboratory, and manufacturing teams to ensure reliable data collection and seamless PI integration, while contributing to documentation and validation practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in technical, software development, PI, automation, engineering, or related role.
• Hands-on OSIsoft PI / AVEVA PI System administration, development, configuration, or support.
• Strong technical and problem‑solving skills for PI and equipment integration.
• Experience with PI tags, data collection, interfaces/connectors, and system configuration.
• Understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work in a GMP or other regulated environment.
• Solid technical documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior technical developer for the PI System, supporting administration, configuration, troubleshooting, and development activities.
• Support the integration and onboarding of new equipment and systems into the PI environment.
• Create, modify, and manage PI tags and related configurations.
• Perform technical compatibility assessments for new equipment, systems, and data sources.
• Work with laboratory and manufacturing equipment to understand data generation and integration into PI.
• Troubleshoot PI-related issues and identify opportunities for system improvements.
• Collaborate with IT, engineering, laboratory, manufacturing, and other technical stakeholders to ensure reliable data collection and system integration.
• Support work within GMP-regulated environment, following applicable procedures, documentation requirements, and validation practices.
• Assist with technical documentation, testing, change control, and other activities associated with regulated system implementations.
• Apply an understanding of networking concepts to troubleshoot connectivity and integration issues between equipment, systems, and PI.
• Participate in PI administration and development activities, including configuration and ongoing system maintenance.
