Job summary

Bachem Americas, Inc. in Vista, CA is seeking a PI Data Historian, Integration System Engineer to manage AVEVA PI Data Historian systems and support GMP-compliant data workflows across manufacturing and IT/OT environments.

You will lead system lifecycle management, deployments for new sites, integration with OT/IT, validation activities, and continuous improvements while collaborating with cross-functional teams and vendors to enable scalable digital manufacturing solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field relevant to PI Historian engineering.
• 4-6 years of hands-on PI Historian engineering and system delivery.
• Experience with AVEVA PI components (Server, AF, Vision) and data integration.

Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle of AVEVA PI Data Historian systems across sites.
• Support greenfield and brownfield deployments for new production facilities.
• Design and optimize historian and integration solutions connecting OT and IT.
• Lead system implementation, validation, and readiness for operations.
• Translate requirements into scalable PI tags, structures, and data models.
• Lead incident, change, and problem management; ensure data integrity.
• Support GMP, CSV, and documentation activities with traceable records.
