Job summary

Cephas Consultancy Services Private Limited seeks an experienced Senior Physician Assistant to join an urgent care/emergency setting in California. You will work under a supervising physician, provide high-quality care across office, hospital, ED, and perioperative settings, and may First Assist in surgeries as needed.

Required are a CA PA license, NPI, and PA National Certificate with at least 3 years of recent experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years previous experience as a physician assistant.
• Graduate from an ARC-PA accredited physician assistant program.
• California Physician Assistant License required at hire.
• National Provider Identifier required at hire.
• Physician Assistant National Certificate required at hire.
• Fluoroscopy Permit required, or must be obtained within 18 months from hire in specified departments.

Responsibilities

• Practice as part of a team under the direction of a supervising physician.
• Examine patients, perform physicals, and compile medical data including history.
• Administer or order diagnostic tests and interpret results.
• Perform injections, immunizations, suturing, wound care and manage infections.
• Assist in surgeries as First Assist or perform department specific procedures.
• Develop and implement patient management plans and record progress.
• Counsel patients on therapies, growth, family planning, and health maintenance.
• Provide pre/post-operative education and assist in discharge planning.
