Job summary

Connections Healthcare Staffing seeks a Senior Physician Assistant for a CA-based healthcare facility near Sacramento, with duties at two locations about 30 minutes apart. You will report to a supervising physician and travel between sites.

Responsibilities span office, hospital, ED and perioperative care; may include first assist in the OR and on-call duties. Must have 3+ years as a PA in ER/UC, CA PA license, NPI, PA National Certification, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years experience as a PA within the last five years (ER/UC preferred).
• Graduate from an ARC-PA accredited physician assistant program.
• California PA license required at hire; NPI and PA National Certification required; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, team-based patient care under supervising physician.
• Manage patients in office, hospital, ED and perioperative settings.
• First assist in the OR or perform department-specific procedures as needed.
• Facilitate on-call responsibilities for supervising physician.
• Mentor less experienced Physician Assistants.
