Job summary

Priority Wire & Cable is seeking a Senior Physical Security Specialist for our Little Rock, AR facility to develop and implement security policies and procedures that safeguard assets and create a safe work environment for employees and visitors.

The role reports to the Physical Security Manager and supports the daily activities of the Security department, including compliance, emergency planning, reporting, and coordination with HR/IT and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in security management, criminal justice or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in security management, law enforcement or the armed forces, with a strong understanding of security principles and practices.
• In-depth knowledge of security technologies, incident management software and other security-related equipment, such as access control systems and CCTV surveillance.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement security policies, procedures and programs.
• Proficiency in security assessments, audits and investigations.
• Attention to detail and a keen eye for identifying and mitigating security risks.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity.
• Availability to respond to security alerts outside of business hours if needed.
• Relevant professional certifications in security management or related areas, like CPP and CSM preferred.
• Must be able to travel up to 25% to conduct site visits/audits.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with company policies and security industry regulations.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures.
• Create management reports on security, conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and areas for improvement, and brief management on findings.
• Manage employee badge process, access control systems, surveillance equipment and other security technologies to ensure proper functioning and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with HR and IT to ensure compliance with security protocols and standards.
• Work with law enforcement, insurers and vendors on security measures and incident response.
• Investigate security breaches, incidents and violations, document findings and implement corrective actions.
• Educate employees on security awareness and procedures through training programs and communications.
• Stay informed about latest security technologies and regulatory requirements, making recommendations for enhancements to the program.
