Apple Inc. is seeking a Physical Design Lead in Austin, Texas to oversee and enhance the Physical Design process for innovative silicon products. Candidates should have extensive experience in physical design with an understanding of digital design concepts, along with proficiency in industry-standard CAD tools like Cadence and Synopsys. The role involves direct collaboration with vendors to ensure project adherence and quality, while also maintaining operational standards across multiple teams.

Formación

• 10+ years of relevant industry experience required.
• Experience leading physical design teams is preferred.
• Track record of having taped out complex chips required.

Responsabilidades

• Audit vendor PD flows and methodologies for gaps.
• Suggest improvements to optimize QoR for Apple chips.
• Conduct periodic design reviews for project tracking.
• Review final PD, STA, SI reports for tapeout approval.
• Provide post tapeout support on ECOs and debugging.

Conocimientos

Physical Design experience

Knowledge of digital design concepts

Hands-on experience in Power and Signal Integrity analysis

Proficient in Static Timing Analysis

Ability to debug and fix LVS, DRC, Antenna, ERC issues

Working knowledge of front-end design methodology

Low power / leakage management methodology and techniques
