Job summary

Canfield Imaging Systems is seeking a Senior PHP Cloud Developer to design scalable, secure cloud systems and contribute to our broader cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate communicates well, is passionate, and enjoys collaborating with a focused, creative team.

Responsibilities include managing projects from conception to delivery, designing secure APIs for the patient portal ecosystem, building dynamic pages with JS and AJAX, hardening performance and security, and shaping SQL schemas

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
• Solid understanding and effective use of sessions.
• Demonstrated experience in technical project management.
• Experience in troubleshooting legacy systems and moving them forward including contributing to QA by resolving bugs.
• Familiarity with configuration of PHP and Apache (including virtual hosts).

Responsibilities

• Project management from conception through completion, including gathering requirements, design and functionality development, and delivering a finished product.
• Understand computer science fundamentals and OO principles, able to deliver without relying on frameworks.
• Design and implement secure, scalable cloud APIs for Canfield's patient portal ecosystem.
• Develop dynamically rendered pages using JavaScript and AJAX data.
• Optimize application performance and implement backend security controls.
• SQL database experience including schema design, normalization, and efficient queries.
