Job summary

Canfield Imaging Systems in Parsippany-Troy Hills, NJ seeks a Senior PHP Cloud Developer to design scalable, secure cloud APIs and contribute to the overall cloud infrastructure. The role emphasizes collaboration and delivering complete projects from conception to deployment.

Responsibilities include building dynamic pages with JavaScript and AJAX, optimizing performance, enforcing security controls, and shaping SQL database schemas. A CS degree or equivalent experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
• Strong PHP and web API design experience.
• Experience in cloud-based architectures and secure services.
• Familiarity with PHP/Apache configuration and sessions.
• Ability to manage projects from concept to delivery.
• Experience with JS/AJAX for dynamic pages.
• SQL schema design and query optimization.

Responsibilities

• Project management from conception through completion, including requirements gathering, design, development, and delivery of a finished product.
• Understand computer science fundamentals, object-oriented coding principles and practices, and deliver a finished project without relying on frameworks.
• Design and implement secure, scalable cloud APIs for Canfield’s patient portal ecosystem.
• Develop dynamically rendered pages using JS and AJAX data.
• Optimize application performance and implement backend security controls.
• SQL database experience including schema design, table normalization, and writing efficient queries.
