Job summary

Canfield Imaging Systems is seeking a Senior PHP Cloud Developer to design scalable, secure cloud systems and contribute to the organization’s cloud infrastructure, including the patient portal ecosystem.

The role requires project management, strong PHP/Apache skills, and performance/security improvements across backend services. A BS in CS or equivalent is preferred, with experience in legacy-system upgrades; comprehensive benefits and a competitive salary are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Solid understanding of sessions and state management
• Demonstrated experience in technical project management
• Experience in troubleshooting legacy systems and moving them forward with bug fixes
• Familiarity with PHP and Apache configuration (including virtual hosts)

Responsibilities

• Project management from conception through completion, including gathering requirements, design and functionality development, and delivering a finished product
• Understand CS fundamentals and object-oriented coding principles without relying on frameworks
• Design and implement secure, scalable cloud APIs for Canfield’s patient portal ecosystem
• Develop dynamically rendered pages using JS and AJAX data
• Optimize application performance and implement backend security controls
• SQL database experience including schema design, normalization, and efficient queries
