Fever is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer (PHP) to design and build scalable backend systems powering large-scale experiences. You will work on payments, reconciliation and high-traffic flows, interacting with authentication and operational tools in a distributed environment.

This role emphasizes strong API design, OpenAPI contracts, and code quality in a fast-paced, collaborative squad with AWS, Docker, and CI/CD tooling.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building backend systems with PHP 8+ and REST APIs at scale.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Experience with microservices, distributed systems and event-driven architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain backend APIs and services for critical business domains (payments, reconciliation, logistics).
• Work on high-concurrency systems focusing on stability, resiliency, and traceability.
• Implement and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
