Cider, a Los Angeles-based fashion brand, is seeking a Senior Photographer to join our studio full-time. You will create high-quality fashion imagery for e-commerce, campaigns, social media, and other brand channels, translating our bold, Gen Z aesthetic into visuals.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in fashion photography, a strong portfolio, expert studio lighting, and experience directing models and collaborating with cross-functional teams. This on-site role lies at our Los Angeles studio.

Responsibilities

• Lead photography for e-commerce, editorial, campaign, lookbook, social media, and other brand content.
• Translate creative briefs and brand direction into on-brand photography.
• Produce high-quality imagery while maintaining Cider's visual identity across channels.
• Direct models and collaborate with stylists, makeup artists, producers, and other creative partners.
• Plan and execute studio and location shoots from pre-production through final image selection.
• Develop lighting setups and techniques for different products and campaigns.
• Maintain consistency in photography across high-volume e-commerce production while fitting editorial concepts.
• Review and select images with attention to composition, presentation, and brand standards.
• Collaborate with retouching and post-production teams to ensure final imagery meets quality standards.
• Manage photography equipment and keep a production-ready studio.
• Stay current on fashion, photography, and visual culture to bring fresh ideas.

Job Summary

Cider is seeking an experienced Senior Photographer to join our Los Angeles studio team full-time. This role will be responsible for creating high-quality, fashion-forward photography across e-commerce, campaigns, social media, and other brand channels.

The ideal candidate brings extensive professional fashion photography experience, a highly developed visual perspective, and the technical expertise to consistently deliver compelling imagery in a fast-paced studio environment. You will collaborate closely with creative, styling, production, and marketing teams to translate Cider's brand identity and creative direction into impactful visual content.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead photography for e-commerce, editorial, campaign, lookbook, social media, and other brand content
• Translate creative briefs and brand direction into compelling, on-brand photography
• Produce consistently high-quality imagery while maintaining Cider's visual identity across different channels and projects
• Direct models and collaborate with stylists, hair and makeup artists, producers, and other creative partners during shoots
• Partner with creative and production teams on lighting, composition, framing, posing, and overall visual execution
• Plan and execute studio and location shoots from pre-production through final image selection
• Develop lighting setups and photography techniques appropriate for different products, concepts, and campaign needs
• Maintain consistency in photography across high-volume e-commerce production while adapting to editorial and campaign concepts
• Review and select images with attention to composition, product presentation, brand standards, and commercial objectives
• Collaborate with retouching and post-production teams to ensure final imagery meets quality and brand standards
• Manage photography equipment and help maintain an organized, efficient, and production-ready studio environment
• Stay current on fashion, photography, social media, and visual culture to bring relevant creative ideas and perspectives to the team
• Provide photography expertise and guidance to support the continued development of Cider's visual identity
• Balance multiple projects, production schedules, and deadlines in a fast-paced creative environment

Job Requirements

• 10+ years of professional photography experience required, with significant experience in fashion, apparel, e-commerce, editorial, or related creative environments
• A professional photography portfolio is required for consideration
• Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in fashion photography, including studio photography, model direction, lighting, composition, and visual storytelling
• Advanced knowledge of professional camera systems, studio lighting, lighting modifiers, and photography equipment
• Strong understanding of fashion styling, composition, color, posing, and contemporary visual trends
• Extensive experience working with models and cross-functional creative teams on professional photo shoots
• Experience producing both high-volume commercial/e-commerce imagery and elevated campaign or editorial content
• Strong understanding of digital photography workflows, file management, image selection, and post-production processes
• Proficiency with industry-standard photography and post-production software
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to visual quality and consistency
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to provide creative input while effectively executing established brand and creative direction
• Ability to manage multiple shoots and priorities while meeting tight production deadlines
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and evolving environment
• Must be available to work full-time, on-site at Cider's Los Angeles studio
