Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs venipunctures and specimen collection per policy and procedures.
• Identifies patients and labels specimens accurately.
• Prepares and handles specimens for testing and routing.
• Centrifuges and aliquots specimens and follows handling instructions.
• Maintains workstations with supplies and monitors equipment temperatures.
• Performs LIS functions in the laboratory information system.
• Performs patient registration in EPIC and verifies demographics/insurance.
• Contributes to quality improvement and training of staff.
