Job summary

Providence Swedish Edmonds is seeking a Laboratory Assistant/Phlebotomy support role to represent the lab to patients, physicians and offices while assisting technical staff and handling specimen accessioning and processing according to policy.

This on-site position requires a high school diploma and completion of a phlebotomy program, with WA Medical Assistant Phlebotomist or WA Medical Assistant Certification preferred; prior phlebotomy experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED is required.
• Successful completion of a phlebotomy program or equivalent training is required.
• WA Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification or WA Medical Assistant Certification is required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Represents the laboratory to the public, physicians, patients and offices while assisting laboratory technical staff.
• Receives/accessions and/or processes specimens according to laboratory procedures.
