Job summary

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Successful completion of a phlebotomy program through a post-secondary school, college or military program.
• Upon hire: Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification or Washington Medical Assistant Certification.

Responsibilities

• Represent the laboratory to the public, physicians, patients and offices while assisting laboratory staff.
• Receive/accession and/or process specimens according to lab procedures.
• Follow department policies, safety, environmental and infectious control standards to remain in compliance with accreditation and licensing agencies.
