Job summary

Providence Swedish Medical Center is seeking a part-time Phlebotomy support professional to represent the laboratory to patients, physicians, and offices, while assisting lab staff with receiving, accessioning, and processing specimens according to established procedures.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, completion of a phlebotomy program, and applicable Washington MA certifications upon hire.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Successful completion of a phlebotomy program through a post-secondary school, college or military program.
• Upon hire: Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification or Washington Medical Assistant Certification.

Responsibilities

Follows established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, safety; environmental and infectious control standards so that the laboratory remains in compliance with accreditation and licensing agencies.
