Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist III to cover the Fairfax, VA territory. The role runs Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with rotational weekends, involving travel to patient service centers and client offices within the territory.

You will perform venipuncture and capillary collections, ensure accurate patient identification and labeling, and prepare specimens for transport per testing protocols. The position emphasizes independence, accuracy, and professional patient interactions.

Qualifications

• Three years of phlebotomy experience required.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
• English required.

Responsibilities

• Perform specimen collections (venipuncture, capillary draws) with minimal error, including pediatric and geriatric cases.
• Obtain patient identification and verify labeling; perform data entry as needed.
• Prepare specimens for transport and testing (labeling, centrifuging, storage).
• Travel within assigned territory to PSCs, IOPs, and other sites; ensure coverage and timely completion of tasks.
