Job summary

Octapharma Plasma, Inc. is hiring in Atlanta, GA for a donor center role focused on phlebotomy and plasma collection. You will perform venipunctures, operate plasmapheresis equipment, ensure donor safety, and maintain the highest quality standards.

Training is provided, with strong emphasis on compliance and customer service. The role requires ability to follow procedures, work in a fast-paced environment, and provide an excellent donor experience while maintaining product integrity and safety.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced health care setting.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Able to read and follow procedures and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure total operation complies with state and federal regulations (FDA SOPs, OSHA, CLIA, GMP) to maintain high production standards and facility compliance.
  • Maintain high level of customer service and donor experience aligned with company values.
  • Keep work area clean to uphold a professional environment.
  • Verify donor identification and maintain donor confidentiality per SOPs.
  • Set up and prepare all equipment for venipuncture and plasmapheresis.
  • Label units and samples accurately.
  • Perform venipunctures and plasma collection with a focus on quality and safety.
  • Operate plasmapheresis machines; respond to alarms and document exceptions.
  • Monitor donor conditions; ensure donor comfort, safety, and plasma product quality.
  • Maintain safety and product quality by proper donor screening and procedure handling.
  • Disinfect and dispose of biohazard waste and worn equipment; clean spills per safety protocols.
  • Perform routine calibration/maintenance on plasmapheresis machines; replace equipment as needed.
  • Report unsafe conditions to management; maintain inventory and replenish supplies.
  • Mentor Phlebotomist I and support training efficiency; may serve as a designated trainer.
  • Troubleshoot machine alarms/QCs; perform daily/monthly quality checks.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance on donor floor performance and CAPA implementations.
  • Assist with storage room organization and FIFO inventory management.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.
