Job summary

TriStar Centennial Medical Center is seeking a Lead Phlebotomist to oversee blood collection and specimen receiving on the assigned shift. You will manage workflow at the specimen receiving table and help dispatch phlebotomists when needed in the facility.

The role requires leadership, strong phlebotomy skills, and excellent interpersonal, computer and communication abilities to support the Laboratory team and patient care.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Certified Phlebotomy Course (strongly preferred)
• Demonstrated experience with required areas of expertise in section III (required)
• Shows leadership qualities during phlebotomy duties
• Interpersonal skills to interact with staff, patients, families and vendors
• Very good phlebotomy, computer, and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee blood collection and specimen receiving on the assigned shift
• Manage workflow at the specimen receiving table and dispatch phlebotomists as needed
• Assist the Phlebotomy Supervisor with staff management as needed
• Support the Laboratory team and patient care through efficient operations
