Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist II for Baytown, TX. The role runs Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with rotational weekends and offers pay at $22.35 per hour, with potential annual bonus based on performance and company factors.

Responsibilities include specimen collection, data entry, and processing specimens according to established procedures while ensuring accuracy in lab systems and billing where required.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience is required.
• Flexible and available to work weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab systems.
• Navigate computer systems and accurately enter data.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties such as inventory and sanitation.
• Read and comply with departmental policies and procedures.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and complete training courses timely.
