Job summary

Grady Health System in Georgia is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our dynamic laboratory team, delivering accurate blood collection, processing, and data entry with care for patients.

You will perform venipuncture, microcollection, POC testing, and work with the LIS while supporting peers as a Senior Phlebotomist when needed. A high school diploma and NHA Phlebotomy Technician certification are required, with hospital experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Phlebotomy Technician by NHA required.
• At least one year of hospital-based phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and microcollection with precision and compassion.
• Ensure timely, high-quality specimen collection, processing, and distribution.
• Accurately enter and maintain patient and specimen data in the LIS.
• Perform Point-of-Care (POC) testing in accordance with departmental guidelines.
• Serve as a Senior Phlebotomist when needed, providing guidance and support to peers.
• Practices Universal and Standard Precautions 100% of the time.
