The Senior Philanthropic Operations Specialist at California Community Foundation oversees donor accounts, complex grantmaking, fiscal sponsorships, and community funds, coordinating across Philanthropy, Grants Management, Finance, Investments, and Programs to ensure timely delivery and accurate reporting.

This in-office role requires residence in California and starts with five days per week on-site for the first 100 days, with two remote days allowed after that, and mandatory in-office

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in philanthropy, nonprofit management, business, communications, or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience including donor services and philanthropy operations.
• Strong knowledge of philanthropic practices and LA County nonprofit landscape.
• Experience with Blackbaud software, including Raiser's Edge.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of donor accounts with grantmaking, reporting, and donor coordination.
• Serve as primary contact for donors, funders, advisors, and partners.
• Lead complex donor projects across departments to ensure timely execution.
• Oversee donor account operations including statements and data management.
• Support governance and board activities related to donor funds.
• Improve systems and workflows to enhance efficiency and data quality.
