Job summary

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital - ALSAC is seeking a Philanthropic Advisor to cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of planned giving donors across a designated region.

You’ll lead donor strategy, gift development, and collaboration with internal teams to advance ALSAC’s fundraising goals while representing the mission at events and conferences. Remote role based in Eastern Florida with substantial travel.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in fundraising, planned giving, or major gifts. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Demonstrated success in donor cultivation and relationship management.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel 50–70% of the time, including evenings and weekends; 10–25% travel for conferences.
• Experience with bequest and major gift fundraising.
• Strategic thinker and collaborative team player.
• Familiarity with planned giving tools and CRM systems.
• Driver's License: A valid driver's license is required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of planned giving donors and prospects; provide interim staff support.
• Develop personalized engagement and fundraising strategies aligned with donor values.
• Conduct in-person donor cultivation, including visits, events, and outreach.
• Plan and host at least two Donor Appreciation Luncheons annually.
• Identify and qualify new donors to grow the pipeline; promote bequests and trusts.
• Collaborate with estate attorneys and financial advisors to fulfill donor intentions.
• Lead as the planned giving lead within the assigned area and partner with teams.
• Represent ALSAC at donor events and national conferences; drive strategic fundraising initiatives.
• Communicate clearly with donors and internal stakeholders; stay informed on trends and tax considerations.
