The position requires completion of a pharmacy technician program, at least three years of experience, and Pharmacy Technician Certification. Pay scale ranges from $20.45 to $30.68 per hour, with rotating days/evenings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or completion of an accredited pharmacy technician program.
• Three years of previous pharmacy technician experience.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Filling: assist in filling medication orders with correct labeling, counting and stocking; initial and date products as required.
• Sterile product area: prepare TPN solutions with aseptic technique and accuracy in calculations.
• Sterile products: prepare cytotoxic and hazardous drugs (e.g. chemotherapy) with high skill and proper aseptic technique.
• Distribute medications including cassettes, emergency carts and controlled substances per policy and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain and audit controlled substance records and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
