Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited pharmacy technician program or six months of pharmacy technician experience.
• Six months experience as a Pharmacy Assistant within the UPMC Health System or enrollment in an undergrad pharmacy program in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Assist in filling medication orders with correct labeling, counting and stocking.
• Prepare oral and injectable medications using proper aseptic technique.
• Support sterile compounding including cytotoxic and hazardous drugs.
• Distribute medications and manage medication carts and stock.
