Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists in dispensing prescriptions, entering patient data into pharmacy systems, and supporting inventory management. You will engage with customers, ensure accuracy, and comply with the Pharmacy Code of Conduct.

This role requires PTCB or ExCPT certification (or equivalent), at least one year of pharmacy tech experience, and fluent English. Flexible hours including evenings/weekends are expected; immunization certification within 90 days

Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in Community Specialty Pharmacy, Health System Pharmacy locations, or in locations where this role is covered under a collective bargaining agreement)

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescriptions and maintaining workflow.
• Enter patient and drug information in pharmacy systems accurately.
• Manage pharmacy inventory and stock to support operations.
• Provide courteous customer service and guidance to customers.
• Adhere to Walgreens Pharmacy Code of Conduct and company policies.
• Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and comply with quality programs.
