Job summary

Walgreens Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the pharmacist in dispensing medications, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining patient records. You will assist with entering orders, verifying interactions, and helping schedule workflow within the store’s pharmacy department.

The role requires PTCB/ExCPT certification, 1 year of retail or hospital tech experience, and English fluency. Flexibility for evenings/weekends is expected; immunization certification may be required within 90

Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (where allowed).

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of the pharmacist, assist in the practice of pharmacy and enter patient and drug information into pharmacy systems.
• Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting and pouring pharmaceutical drugs, verifying accuracy and drug interactions.
• Assist pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining workflow; report prescription errors per policy.
• Handle cash register duties and assist customers to locate products in OTC aisles.
• Lead pharmacy department inventory activities, order and store shipments, and protect assets.
