Job summary

Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in pharmacy under supervision of the pharmacist and in accordance with policy.
• Process (corrects and resubmits) manual claims for third party prescription services and perform clerical duties.
• Enter patient and drug information into pharmacy systems accurately and ensure correct data entry.
• Lead inventory management activities: ordering, receiving, storing pharmaceuticals, and addressing shortages or damages.
• Support pharmacists in clinical services and coordination with Walgreens healthcare providers.
