Job summary

Walgreens Co. in California seeks a pharmacy technician to support pharmacists, process prescriptions, and assist customers with OTC products.

You will enter patient and drug information, fill prescriptions accurately, and help maintain pharmacy workflow. You will work under pharmacists and store managers, participate in inventory control, resolve simple issues, and ensure compliance with pharmacy policies.

Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Assists pharmacists by entering patient and drug information and filling prescriptions.
• Maintains inventory and supports pharmacy workflow under supervision of pharmacist.
• Handles calls and processes third-party claims in a timely manner.
