Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists in dispensing medications, entering patient data, and supporting daily pharmacy operations. Under pharmacist supervision, you will process prescriptions, verify accuracy, and help manage inventory and cash handling.

Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico).
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in Community Specialty Pharmacy, Health System Pharmacy locations, or in locations where this role is covered under a collective bargaining agreement)

Responsibilities

• Assist in pharmacy operations under pharmacist supervision.
• Enter patient and drug information in pharmacy systems.
• Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting and pouring pharmaceutical drugs; verify accuracy.
• Assist pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining workflow.
• Manage pharmacy department inventory, including ordering and storage of pharmaceuticals.
• Coordinate clinical services with Walgreens healthcare clinics and external providers.
