Job summary

Foundation Health Partners is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to support packaging, distribution, and record-keeping of pharmaceuticals. You will assist in preparing IV meds, TPN, and hazardous meds under pharmacist supervision, while training Technician Apprentices and Volunteers and ensuring safety and accuracy in all tasks.

The role requires Alaska licensure with CPhT/ExCPT, plus 2 years of related experience.

Qualifications

Alaska pharmacy technician license required upon hire.
CPhT or ExCPT certification required.
Two years of experience in a FHP pharmacy technician role or equivalent.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, math and computer skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication with staff and patients.
Knowledge of medication management software, Microsoft applications, and automated dispensing systems.

Responsibilities

Select and prepare medications under supervision and deliver to units.
Identify items for reorder to maintain inventory.
Assist in preparing intravenous medications and sterile compounding.
Coordinate supervision of Technician Apprentices and Volunteers; training where needed.
Support scheduling to ensure appropriate staffing and coverage.
Perform quality control tasks and maintain records of medications and supplies.
