Job summary

Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join the Pediatric In-Patient Pharmacy Services team in Pensacola, FL. You will perform IV admixture, order entry, decentralization, and support quality assurance to ensure safe medication use.

You’ll train and mentor new hires, work with automation systems, and help optimize the IV workflow with carousels, automated dispensing cabinets, and robotics. A Pharmacy Technician credential and relevant education are required.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician credentialed prior to hire or transfer date.
• NHA Pharmacy Technician credential prior to hire or transfer date.

Responsibilities

• IV and chemotherapy admixture, order entry, decentralization, auditing peer's work, quality assurance sign off with barcode scanning, controlled substance oversight, and billing.
• Automation technology: IV workflow, carousels, automated dispensing cabinets, troubleshooting, compounding, robotics.
• Provides advanced cross-training for dedicated buyers, OR satellite, and retail.
• Onboards, trains, and mentors new hires in pharmacy operations.
