Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support daily pharmacy operations under the supervision of a pharmacist. You will enter patient data, fill prescriptions, and assist with inventory and customer service tasks.

The role requires a PTCB/ExCPT credential (except in Puerto Rico) and at least one year of experience, with a willingness to work evenings and weekends and obtain immunization certification within 90 days of hire. Strong English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in Community Specialty Pharmacy, Health System Pharmacy locations, or in locations where this role is covered under a collective bargaining agreement)

Responsibilities

• Assist in pharmacy practice under supervision of the pharmacist.
• Enter patient and drug information in pharmacy systems.
• Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting and pouring medications.
• Assist with pharmacy inventory management and ordering.
• Handle cash register and assist customers at the OTC aisle.
• Coordinate with physicians and healthcare providers as needed.
