Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist the pharmacist in dispensing prescriptions, maintaining accurate patient and drug records, and supporting daily pharmacy operations. This role emphasizes customer service, accuracy, and adherence to the Walgreens Pharmacy Code of Conduct.

Under supervision, you will enter information, check for drug interactions, manage inventory, and help customers locate OTC products. A flexible schedule including evenings and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in Community Specialty Pharmacy, Health System Pharmacy locations, or in locations where this role is covered under a collective bargaining agreement)

Responsibilities

• Assist in dispensing prescriptions under pharmacist supervision.
• Enter patient and drug information into pharmacy systems and check for interactions.
• Support pharmacy department inventory management and ordering.
• Provide customer service and guide customers to OTC products.
